Skyscanner

“Snyk is one of the most important security tools we use at Skyscanner. We liked the fact that there is a multiple, layered approach. Instead of the security team being the gatekeepers and reviewing every line of code and signing off everything, we can empower our developers.”

Alex Harriss

Senior Security Engineer, Skyscanner

Providing the most advanced levels of secure software available

Snyk places the utmost importance on keeping your data safe and helping you address your security and compliance requirements. Snyk meets recognized security standards and is fully committed to expanding coverage and incorporating new guidance and industry best practices.

ISO 27001

At Snyk we have implemented an integrated Information Security management system, which includes the controls sets for ISO27001 and ISO27017. Both sets of controls undergo external review on an annual basis.

ISO 27017

Snyk has chosen to implement the additional controls of ISO27017, to support our focus on compliance developed for cloud service providers to make a safer cloud-based environment and reduce the risk of security problems.

SOC 2 Type II

Snyk’s controls are assessed by Coalfire, who specialize in compliance across multiple industries, on an annual basis. Our reporting period is from May – June of the following year. A copy of this report can be requested via your account team.

GDPR

Due to the locations of its operations Snyk is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and is fully committed to be compliant with these regulations. Snyk continues to monitor any changes to laws to which it is subject.

Frequently asked questions

Which Snyk deployment option is right for my business?

Most Snyk customers are benefiting from the cost-effectiveness provided by Snyk on multi-tenant SaaS. However, organizations with more stringent data governance policies or those required to comply with external standards and regulations might need the additional data isolation provided by Private Cloud — Snyk’s single-tenant deployment option.

What is the difference between Snyk on multi-tenant SaaS and Private Cloud?

With Snyk on multi-tenant SaaS, you share the same cloud resources and deployment environment with other Snyk customers. With Private Cloud, you have access to your own dedicated and isolated instance of the Snyk platform on the cloud, fully provisioned and managed by Snyk.

What regions is the Snyk platform hosted in?

Both the multi-tenant and single-tenant deployment options provided by Snyk support data residency and are available in the US (US-East), EU (Frankfurt), and Asia-Pacific (Sydney). Additional regions will become available in the future.

What Snyk plans include these deployment options?
  • Snyk on multi-tenant SaaS is available across all Snyk plans – Free, Team, Business, and Enterprise. Data residency in the EU or Asia-Pacific for Snyk on multi-tenant SaaS, however, is only available in the Enterprise plan.

  • Private Cloud – in the US, EU, or Asia-Pacific – is available in the Snyk Enterprise plan only.

Does Snyk provide an on-premise deployment option?

No. Snyk has deliberately invested in cloud-based deployment options to enable customers to enjoy three key benefits of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) — optimized time to value, maximized ROI (there is no infrastructure involved), and seamless access to Snyk’s innovation — while also complying with data governance requirements.

Do any of the regions that Snyk is hosted in support sustainability?

Yes. Snyk prioritizes the use of carbon-neutral cloud infrastructure across its suppliers and regions. Snyk’s new multi-tenant deployment in the AWS Frankfurt region is no exception.
