With generative AI producing more insecure code than ever before, Snyk’s founding mission has never been more critical – not only to our industry, but the world at large. In our quest to empower every developer around the globe to develop fast, while staying secure, we’ve heard from our enterprise customers that they need us to meet this unique moment and innovate even faster.

We realize that 2024 will be pivotal in our journey to become a generational company. And, to this end, our goal to revolutionize secure development has gained important momentum within the last couple of months.

Following the release of Snyk AppRisk in late 2023, we kicked off the year with the strategic acquisition of Helios to further turbocharge our ASPM vision and solutions, enabling Snyk customers with a truly comprehensive picture of their applications, spanning the entire software development lifecycle. We also spearheaded a new strategic alliance with Deloitte, which will allow more global enterprises to mature and scale their developer security programs and achieve DevSecOps success.

Crucial to successfully continuing to build on this momentum is ensuring we have the right leaders in place – they’re the driving force behind Snyk’s innovation engine, growing and evolving the Snyk team to directly impact the success of our customers. Against this backdrop, I couldn’t be more excited to welcome two critical additions to the Snyk executive bench: Danny Allan, our new Chief Technology Officer, and Brian Rogan, our new Executive Vice President of Engineering.

Danny’s 20 years of experience as a technology visionary and solution evangelist will help us create real value for our customers and dominate the market. He comes to Snyk after solving a plethora of customer challenges at companies such as Veeam, VMWare and IBM. He’s especially known for his strategic product roadmaps and his contributions to security research.

Brian comes to us after close to two decades in various roles at Google. While there, he spearheaded many successful initiatives, including the development of important internal tools for infrastructure and network automation. He also played a key role in modernizing and scaling Google’s infrastructure on cloud platforms. As if that wasn’t enough, Brian was the engine behind the scaling and launching of an innovative cross-cloud network solution, allowing Google to sell solutions within their networking business for the first time ever.

I’m confident that Danny and Brian’s collective experiences will be invaluable, and their deep knowledge of the security industry will allow us to build further trust with both development and security teams.

2024 is already off to an amazing start, and I’m looking forward to what the rest of the year will bring. Please join me in welcoming Danny and Brian – the future is bright!
